Authenticity and conditionOrigin, authenticity and condition of the cards7 questions
Are your Japanese Pokémon cards genuine?

Yes. All our cards are official Pokémon cards, bought directly from shops in Japan and then imported into France. We do not sell reproductions or “proxy” cards.

Are all the cards Japanese-language versions?

Yes. The Pokémon cards in the shop are Japanese editions: the name, attacks and text are printed in Japanese. Each listing gives the card’s English name, its set, its number and a translation of its attacks.

Are the cards new or second-hand?

Single cards come from the Japanese second-hand market: each card is unique and its condition is visible in the photos on its listing. The sealed Japanese booster packs, on the other hand, are brand new and have never been opened.

How can I check the exact condition of a card?

The photos on each listing are real photos of the copy for sale, with close-up views: you see exactly the card you will receive, including its edges, corners and surface. If you have any doubt, write to us before ordering.

Are the cards graded (PSA, PCA, CollectAura…)?

No, unless the listing says otherwise: our cards are sold “raw”, meaning ungraded. You are free to have them graded by the company of your choice once you have received them.

How can I tell if a Japanese Pokémon card is genuine?

The card back, print quality, typography and holographic finish let you spot most counterfeits. We go through these points in our guide Japanese Pokémon card back: how to spot a fake.

Why is there a small logo on the photos?

This watermark protects our photos from being copied by other sellers. It is added to the image only: the card you receive obviously carries no such mark.

Rarities and setsUnderstanding Japanese Pokémon cards7 questions
Why collect Japanese Pokémon cards?

Sets are released in Japan first, several weeks before the West. Japanese cards are known for their print and cutting quality, their holographic finishes and sometimes exclusive artwork. They are also often more affordable than their English equivalents.

What do the AR, SAR, SR and UR codes mean?

These are the rarities printed at the bottom left of the card: AR (Art Rare), SAR (Special Art Rare), SR (Super Rare), UR (Ultra Rare)… Browse all our cards sorted by rarity and find detailed explanations in our rarity guide.

How do I know which set a card comes from?

The set code (for example sv2D) is printed at the bottom left of the card, next to the number. Our Japanese Pokémon cards by set are sorted from newest to oldest.

Do Japanese sets exist in English?

Their cards are reprinted in the West, but under a different name and with different numbering. For example, the cards from Clay Burst (sv2D) and Snow Hazard are found in the West in Paldea Evolved. Each set page shows its Western equivalent.

Does a Japanese card have the same effects as the English card?

Yes: with rare exceptions, the attacks, abilities and effects are identical; only the language changes. Our listings translate the attacks and effects of each card.

Can I play in tournaments with Japanese cards?

Official Play! Pokémon tournaments held in Europe do not accept Japanese cards. They are, however, perfect for collecting and for playing with friends.

How do I estimate the value of a card?

Rarity, the popularity of the Pokémon, the illustrator and above all the condition of the card determine its value. We explain how to estimate it in our article Japanese Pokémon card value: how to estimate its price.

OrdersOrdering, stock and finding cards5 questions
How do I order a card?

Add the card to your basket from its listing, then place your order by entering your address and choosing your shipping method. You will then receive a confirmation by email.

Do I need an account to place an order?

No, you can order without an account. Creating an account simply lets you find your orders and addresses again on your next purchases.

Can I order several copies of the same card?

Yes, when several copies are available: the stock is shown on each listing. Each copy is photographed, and the listing states the condition of those for sale.

A card is sold out: will it come back?

Our cards come from purchases in Japan, often a single copy: a sold-out card will not necessarily return. New cards arrive regularly in the New arrivals section.

I am looking for a specific card, can you help?

Write to us at [email protected] with the card’s name, set and number: we will tell you whether we have it or can find it.

ShippingDispatch, tracking and delivery7 questions
How are the cards protected during shipping?

Each card is slipped into a sleeve (soft protective pouch), placed between two rigid cardboard sheets and wrapped in bubble wrap, then sent in an envelope. You can add a top loader (rigid case) for €0.20 per card by ticking the option on the card’s listing.

Which shipping methods do you offer?

All orders are shipped from France by La Poste tracked letter, with a tracking number. We do not offer standard untracked letters: without tracking, nothing proves the parcel was sent or delivered, and a lost envelope could not be traced. Full details are on our Shipping page.

How much does shipping cost?

Charges depend on the weight of the parcel: €3.90 within France and €7.90 within the European Union up to 100 g (about 30 sleeved cards). Shipping is free on orders of €50 or more in France and €100 or more in the European Union. The exact amount is calculated in your basket; the full rate table is on the Shipping page.

How long does delivery take?

Your order is prepared and handed to La Poste, usually within 2 working days of payment confirmation. La Poste then quotes around three working days within France, and a few more days to other European Union countries. These times are indicative only.

How can I track my parcel?

As soon as your order is shipped, you receive an email with your tracking number and a direct link to La Poste tracking. If you have a customer account, the number also appears in My account, on your order page.

Do you ship outside France?

Yes, to all countries of the European Union, by international tracked letter. We do not yet deliver to the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway or overseas territories: write to us if you live in one of these destinations.

My parcel is damaged or has not arrived, what should I do?

Write to us at [email protected], attaching photos of the envelope and the card if possible. We will find a solution with you.

Payment and returnsSecure payment, complaints and returns3 questions
Is payment secure?

Yes. The whole site uses HTTPS and payment is handled by a payment provider: we never have access to your bank details. The available payment methods are shown when you confirm your order. See our privacy policy.

Can I change my mind after buying?

Yes. As with any distance purchase, you have 14 days from receipt to exercise your right of withdrawal, without having to give a reason. The card must be returned to us in the condition in which you received it, with return costs at your expense, and you are refunded no later than 14 days after your request.

The card I received does not match the listing, what should I do?

Contact us at [email protected] with photos of the card you received. If it does not match the listing, we will offer you an exchange or a refund.
