Houndstone card – the ghost dog that sleeps in the graveyard

This Japanese Houndstone card 048/063 (ハカドッグ / Houndstone) comes from m1S MEGA Symphonia (2025), the first set of the Mega Evolution era, released in the West in Mega Evolution (066/132). matazo lays it at the foot of a gravestone, under a starry sky and a crescent moon. It spends most of its time sleeping in graveyards; it is the most loyal of all the dog Pokémon, the Pokédex tells us.

  • Stage 1 Pokémon (evolves from Greavard), Psychic type, 140 HP, Darkness weakness ×2, Fighting resistance -30, retreat cost 3
  • First attack (1 Psychic Energy): 30 damage; flip a coin until you get tails; for each heads, choose a card from your opponent’s hand without looking, look at it, then your opponent shuffles it into their deck
  • Second attack (2 Psychic Energy + 1 Colorless): 130 damage
  • Rarity U, number 048/063, illustration by matazo, ©2025
