Victreebel – the carnivorous plant in pop style

This Japanese Victreebel card 071/165 (ウツボット / Victreebel) comes from sv2a Pokémon Card 151 (2023), the tribute set to the original 151 Pokémon of Kanto, released in the West simply as 151. Jerky camouflages the carnivorous plant in a patchwork of multicoloured, paper-cut-style foliage – everything it swallows is dissolved without a trace by its juices, the Pokédex warns. And its slow-acid attack does exactly that: 12 delayed damage counters.

Card characteristics

  • Stage 2 Pokémon (evolves from Weepinbell), Grass type, 150 HP
  • Attack: 50 damage
  • Attack: 120 damage, and at the end of your opponent’s next turn, put 12 damage counters on the Defending Pokémon
