Tentacool card – the jellyfish of Kanto’s lagoon

This Japanese Tentacool card 072/165 (メノクラゲ / Tentacool) comes from sv2a Pokémon Card 151 (2023), the tribute set to the original 151 Pokémon of Kanto, released in the West simply as 151. Miki Kudo has it drift in a turquoise lagoon fringed with tropical flowers – made up almost entirely of water, it blends into the sea so well that it becomes invisible, the Pokédex tells us. The swimmers’ favourite scourge in Kanto, here in soft pastel tones.
