Sandslash 028/165 – Pokémon Card 151 (sv2a) – Japanese Pokémon Card

Sandslash card – Kanto’s sand hedgehog

This Japanese Sandslash card 028/165 (サンドパン / Sandslash) comes from sv2a Pokémon Card 151 (2023), the tribute set to the original 151 Pokémon of Kanto, released in the West simply as 151. Kodama launches it claws first in a whirlwind of purple rock – perched in the trees thanks to its sharp claws, it knocks berries down to share with the Sandshrew waiting below, the Pokédex tells us fondly. A Fighting attacker that punishes Pokémon that are already damaged.

Sandslash 151 card characteristics

• Stage 1 Pokémon (evolves from Sandshrew), Fighting type, 120 HP
• Attack: 30 damage, and the Defending Pokémon can’t retreat during your opponent’s next turn
• Attack: 80+ damage; 100 more damage if your opponent’s Active Pokémon already has damage counters on it
• Rarity U, number 028/165, illustration by Kodama, ©2023
