Hoopa holo 118/190 – Shiny Star V (s4a) – Japanese Pokémon Card

Hoopa holo card – the unleashed genie with six rings

This Japanese Hoopa card 118/190 (フーパ / Hoopa) comes from s4a Shiny Star V (2020), the special Japanese set of shiny Pokémon, in holographic finish. It reprints the card released in the West in Darkness Ablaze (111/189). so-taro paints Hoopa in its Unbound form, its giant arms bursting out of its rings against a night-time background. It gathers everything it fancies into its secret hideout using its rings, through which it teleports, according to the card’s Pokédex text.

Card details

• Basic Pokémon, Darkness type, 120 HP, Grass weakness ×2, retreat 2
• Attack (1 Darkness Energy): 90 damage; if this Pokémon did not move from the Bench to the Active Spot this turn, this attack does nothing; this attack’s damage isn’t affected by Weakness
• Number 118/190, holo finish, illustration by so-taro, ©2020

From the same Shiny Star V set, the Flapple holo, Garbodor and the Air Balloon from Shiny Star V are in the shop. Air Balloon reduces its retreat cost, handy for sending it back to the Bench and bringing it up again.
