Houndoom holo card – the howl of the Single Strike style

This Japanese Houndoom card 005/019 (ヘルガー / Houndoom) comes from the High Class Deck Gengar VMAX (sGG, 2021), a premium ready-to-play deck sold in Japan in which every card is shiny. A Single Strike style Pokémon, it exists in the West in Battle Styles (096/163). Uta paints it with its mouth wide open and claws forward, under a blood-red light. Its sinister howl is its hallmark: in the old days, it was believed to be sent from the underworld and was feared, according to the card’s Pokédex text.

• Ability “Single Strike Roar”: once during your turn, search your deck for a Single Strike Energy card and attach it to 1 of your Single Strike Pokémon, then shuffle your deck; then put 2 damage counters on that Pokémon
• Attack (1 Darkness Energy + 1 Colorless): 50 damage
