Starmie holo – the jewel of Kanto’s reef

This Japanese holographic Starmie card 121/165 (スターミー / Starmie) comes from sv2a Pokémon Card 151 (2023), the tribute set to the original 151 Pokémon of Kanto, released in the West simply as 151. Arai Kiriko unfurls the purple star at the heart of a teeming reef, its red jewel glowing in the half-light – it spins at high speed to swim and absorb plankton, the Pokédex tells us. A holographic rare with a formidable kamikaze Ability.

Stage 1 Pokémon (evolves from Staryu), Water type, 90 HP
Ability: once during your turn, put 2 damage counters on 1 of your opponent’s Pokémon; if you do, discard this Pokémon and all attached cards
