Description de ce produit

Grams amiibo card no. 211 – Series 3 (Mamiral)

Grams (Mamiral in French, ゲコ on the Japanese card) is the mother of Gramps, the sailor who takes players on excursions since New Leaf. White hair, a coral hairclip and a floral dress: she is the matriarch of the family, the one who ran the souvenir shop on Tortimer Island, where you could exchange your medals for exclusive items. Her French name is a portmanteau of “Mamie” (granny) and “Amiral” (admiral). This card belongs to Animal Crossing amiibo card series 3, released in 2016.

A Japanese card that works on French consoles

Amiibo cards are not region-locked: this Japanese card can be scanned on any Nintendo Switch, including a French console. Only the name printed on the front is in Japanese. In the game, the character appears under the French name, Mamiral, and all the dialogue stays in the language of your console. It is often the simplest – and cheapest – way to complete a collection when the European version has become hard to find.

What Grams’ card does

Grams is an SP (special character) card: unlike villagers, she cannot move onto your island. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, scan her in Photopia to invite her to a photo shoot and unlock her poster in Nook Shopping; she and her family also appear at The Roost café. In the Happy Home Paradise expansion, you can have her visit as a client and design her holiday home, which she shares with Gramps, Leilani and Leila. The card also remains compatible with New Leaf – Welcome amiibo.
