Velma amiibo card no. 230 – Animal Crossing Series 3
Velma (Véra in French, ピティエ in Japan) is a pink goat with freckles, recognisable by her bluish butterfly glasses and yellow horns – her name is a nod to the bespectacled detective from Scooby-Doo. She is the only snooty goat in the whole series: direct, sometimes sharp-tongued, but she softens noticeably as you do her favours. In New Horizons, her hobby is education: you come across her outside reading a novel or examining things with a magnifying glass. This card belongs to Animal Crossing amiibo card series 3, released in 2016.
Invite Velma to your island
Velma is a villager: in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, scan her card from the Nook Stop terminal to invite her to your campsite. After several visits, you can ask her to move onto your island. In the Happy Home Paradise expansion, she will tell you about her lifelong dream: having her own classroom.
Japanese version, compatible with your Switch
This card is a Japanese version. Only the name printed on the card is in Japanese: amiibo are not region-locked, the card works on every Switch console, and Véra appears in the game with her French name.
