CHR – Character Rare

Japanese CHR Pokémon Cards: The Character Rares

CHR (Character Rare) cards show a Pokémon in its environment, with its Trainer in the background. They first appeared with VMAX Climax and feature in several 2022 expansions; in the West, these illustrations formed the “Trainer Gallery”.

Look for the “CHR” mention: these cards are numbered just after the set total.

Our CHR cards come in particular from VMAX Climax (s8b) and Battle Region (s9a). To compare, also see our CSR (Character Super Rare) cards, AR (Art Rare) cards and SAR (Special Art Rare) cards. All the rarity codes are explained in our guide Japanese Pokémon Card Rarity, and every rarity is gathered on the Japanese Pokémon Cards by Rarity page.

All our Japanese CHR Pokémon cards are authentic copies sold individually, with real photos of the exact card you will receive and protected shipping from France. CHR cards that have already passed through the shop include: Mightyena and Druddigon.
