Shiny Star V (s4a)

Pokémon Shiny Star V (s4a): The Japanese Card List

Released in Japan in 2020, the Shiny Star V (s4a) set is a special expansion packed with illustrated cards from the Sword & Shield era. This high class pack is devoted to the shiny Pokémon of Galar, with many shiny versions. Its cards are numbered out of 190; any higher number, such as 191/190, denotes a secret rare.

The English-language equivalent of Shiny Star V is the Shining Fates expansion. Japanese cards often have a more refined finish and a different market value from their Western versions, which explains why collectors are drawn to the original edition.

Shiny Pokémon get their own high class pack in every era: Shiny Treasure ex (sv4a) and GX Ultra Shiny (sm8b). In Japanese release order, the previous set available in the shop is Amazing Volt Tackle (s4), and the next one is Single Strike Master (s5I). You can also find all the Sword & Shield sets on our dedicated page.

At Cartes Japonaises, every Shiny Star V card is sold individually and photographed as it is: you see exactly the copy that will be shipped, in a sleeve and top loader. Cards from Shiny Star V that have already passed through the shop include Flapple, Hoopa and Suicune.
