Ruler of the Black Flame (sv3) Expansion: All the Japanese Pokémon Cards

Released in Japan in 2023, Ruler of the Black Flame (sv3) is a main expansion from the Scarlet & Violet era. It is famous for its Darkness Tera Charizard ex, one of the most played and collected cards of the era. The official card list has 108 cards, plus the secret rares numbered beyond 108.

The English-language equivalent of Ruler of the Black Flame is the Obsidian Flames expansion. Japanese cards often have a more refined finish and a different market value from their Western versions, which explains why collectors are drawn to the original edition.
