Thunderclap Spark (sm7a)

Thunderclap Spark (sm7a) Expansion: All the Japanese Pokémon Cards

Released in Japan in 2018, Thunderclap Spark (sm7a) is a support expansion (強化拡張パック) from the Sun & Moon era. This support expansion showcases Lightning-type Pokémon. Its cards are numbered out of 60; any higher number, such as 061/060, denotes a secret rare.

In the West, its cards were reprinted in the Lost Thunder expansion. The Japanese version stands out for its smaller booster packs, its often-praised print quality and Japan-specific card numbers, so it pays to know the Thunderclap Spark card list before hunting for a particular card.

Fairy Rise (sm7b) and Super-Burst Impact (sm8) were also reprinted in Lost Thunder. In Japanese release order, the previous set available in the shop is Sky-Splitting Charisma (sm7). You can also find all the Sun & Moon sets on our dedicated page.

At Cartes Japonaises, every Thunderclap Spark card is sold individually and photographed as it is: you see exactly the copy that will be shipped, in a sleeve and top loader. Cards from Thunderclap Spark that have already passed through the shop include Gogoat, Skiddo and Brionne.
